Update.

Hello peeps!
It has been a while hasn't it? I think so. I forget how therapeutic this is for me. I need to continue to do it more often. Well anyways back to the update:  I still have my hives :( which totally sucks butt.
We had quite the scare the other day actually because they were on the inside of my throat and within 20 min time it went from me being able to talk normally to not being able to talk above barely a whisper and so obviously my breathing was getting a little scarce. So we rushed me to the hospital and they gave me 2 shots of epinephrine and an IV steroid. I'm doing better now, but after that we were a little shaken up, so luckily the doctor gave me 3 epi-pens to take home just in case.  Hopefully we can get these taken care of soon. Which leads me to my other update. No job for me yet. Not by choice though. I want to be working. Really badly. But the hives, as lame as that sounds, is definitely keeping me from working. They are horrible, they hurt, sometimes overwhelmingly so, I swell, and they get worse if they get touched. So I'm in quite the predicament considering my whole career is based on touch :(  However, when I was still in school, a few of my friends in my class and I had talked about going back after we graduated and becoming a Master Esthetician. I still love this idea. I really want to. So I am thinking about making an appointment with my school to talk about options and $$$$. That will probably be the deciding factor if I can do it or not. I would like to work while going to school too, that is actually a must. But this would be a year long program and I would be a day student. So we will see if my schedule can match up with theirs. I will keep you all updated on that too.

John schooling is on hold for now. He is waiting on his Medical Certificate from the FAA before he proceeds. Which he needs to pass in order to get his pilots license. He could proceed with out it but that would be a waste of money incase he gets denied right? So we think it's best he just stops until we get word on that. but it is taking forever!!!

On a better more fantastic news, we just got back from a month long visit to Texas. It was absolutely amazing. Just a notch below perfect. ( The hot weather knocked it down a few notches) It was so great to see everyone for more than just one or two days. Everyone was great a host. We went to a lot of good restaurants. We went to the coast. Twice! The water was so warm. I loved it. One of my favorite parts was the coast. I got to experience Texas's Schlitterbahn! Which was awesome. One day I will have to take my niece Lexi there. She would just go crazy for that place.   I already miss everyone so much. But I think we are going back down in November over Thanksgiving and John's birthday. Which will be nice. I don't think it will be a month long visit again though. Not for me anyways. John could possibly be staying longer than I will but not too much longer. :)

Anywho, thats all I've got for right now. I should probably go to bed before my nighttime medications make me type random and stupid things!  Loves!

Much needed update!

Hello everyone!
It has been forever I know, sorry bout that. We have much to discuss.
I finished the Professional program at UCMT on March 9th and graduated on March 18th. :) I am really happy about that. Impressed with myself that I actually stuck it out even though I wanted to quit many a times. I started the Masters Program on the 14th of March but unfortunately I had to withdraw from that today due to hives that I have had for about 3 months now. They have progressively gotten worse through out those 3 months and they are extremely painful and make me really swollen. So I was forced to withdraw. I am hoping that I can start it again in May. My doctors on this matter are kind of stumped. I am currently taking 14 pills a day for these and have had no relief. They are also concerned because they can't give me any more Anti-Histamines because it will make me more sick than I already am, So tomorrow I will start going in to my Allergists office for IV treatment until we get these things under control. So here is what I look like lately:

Most of you know already  but John has recently started school, Helicopter school actually :)
He loves it. Which I love that he loves it so much.  He goes full time. We are hoping that it only takes him about a year. Fingers crossed. Well folks I am feeling a little worn out so this is all I have for you right now. I will keep you all updated on everything.

OH YEAH BEFORE I FORGET....I TOOK MY FEDERATION EXAM TO GET LICENSED AND I PASSED!!!!! YAY FOR ME.

Prestons Update

Hey all!
Its been a while. I know. Don't have to tell me twice. I have gotten a lot of "just update the blog already" emails so I am FINALLY I am doing it. Not much has changed, thats one source of the non-posting lately. That and we have just been too tired, busy, or too lazy to post. So, sorry.

We moved! In case you missed the memo. We moved from Bountiful to Sandy. Its so much nicer in this apartment. I can't really see how we stayed at the other one so long. This one is amazing.

John has been staying busy at work, though its in Logan which is 2 hours away, one direction. Lets just say he is tired. Working 10 hour days and then add on 4 hours just to get to and from work that day makes him a little miserable at times. But he's doing alright I think. Hopefully he can put in for a transfer and get this time.

I am staying busy at school. Clinic is kicking my butt, even though I only do that once a week its still exhausting. I do get the odd clients though which can distract me from how tired I am while I'm working at least for a little while. I am officially half way done with school!!! I can't believe it. Now this last half just needs to fly by so I can be done already.

On a lighter note, CHRISTMAS is in just 7 weeks! We are so excited! We can't wait to come to Texas this year for christmas, for a whole week. It will be so nice to not have to rush the whole trip to see everyone. ah. For once a relaxing holiday break. It's going to be AWESOME! Well thats our life in a nut shell. Love and Miss you all like crazy!

:)

Hello Loves!
I apologize for my last post. I was in the middle of a mini-meltdown. Maybe not so little. But I am better now. Now that I am back to my old self. We can all forget about that last post. lol. So I have some stuff to tell everyone though, most of you all know all of this but I will post about it anyway.

John and I will be going to Texas this year for Christmas. I am so excited!!! It seems like we haven't seen you all in forever. I know some of you will be in Utah for Christmas, and we'll miss seeing you but it will be so nice to see Susan, Darryl, Anya, Becky, and the Bacons. We have missed them so much.  Christmas can't come fast enough. We got asked to come out for Thanksgiving but I only get Thanksgiving day off and I have to work in the Clinic that weekend so we couldn't. But Christmas will be just as an amazing trip down there. For a whole week too! I don't think we have ever been able to stay that long so it will be nice and not too rushed of a visit. So thank you Grandpa and Suzanne!

Another topic for todays post is, CLINIC! I am so excited. I start clinic this Sunday. So now I will have a clinic shift every Sunday morning until I graduate! Its gonna be amazing. Lots of practice! Practice makes perfect right? So I welcome these shifts with open arms. We have an evaluation in my massage class the other day and I did amazing. I got 25 out of 25 points and the instructor said I was great to watch perform the massage and that I had great flow and body mechanics. Which is always good, that means I'm not just jumping from one body part to another. I'm actually connecting everything together in a fluid movement. So that made me feel awesome! Good self esteem booster for sure! Definitely made me a little less nervous going into clinic. I'm almost done with my first quarter of school. It went by so fast already! Specially considering we only have 3 quarters total in the program. So geeze. Im already almost a 1/3 of the way done! E.X.C.I.T.I.N.G!!!!!!!!

I hope you all have a great weekend! Be safe!
Love you!

School update!

Hey all!
I know I haven't updated about school since I started. Been really busy. But I have some time today so I will give you all an update. :) I LOVE IT! Its hard, but I'm loving the challenge. Its nice to exercise my brain a little, lol. I have had two semi-major tests in anatomy and one evaluation on my swedish massage and on the two anatomy test I got 100% on the first one, then I got 95% on the second ( but this one was on cell structure, really, who cares that much about what is inside of an individual cell?) Then on my evaluation I got 22 of 25 points. My stances were a little off but other than my instructor said I did great! So yay!  I'm really surprised at how much "work" it really is though. I kinda had this notion of I would just go into school and learn just the basic massage and then be done. But I have to learn all the different modalities/types, then reflexology, which is by far one of my favorite things I am learning right now. Its SO interesting! Then anatomy, which is a super intense class. They really expect a lot in this one. We are expected to know all the anatomical names for every part of the body. Plus some medical terminology. I have a professor and his apprentice from the University of Utah teaching that class. But all in all its great. I'm thinking about doing the Master Body Worker program when I am done with this course. Which my graduation date is March 10th. With that, it will give me more skills and more knowledge to take the national test which if I pass I am certified in all states and some different countries. I think anyways. Thats my understanding anyway. So why not right? Why wouldn't I want to do it? Why would I want to limit myself and my potential to just this state? I wouldn't. Plus the MBW program is only 1 quarter long, which is only another 10 weeks. Not bad. but I still have a while to worry about that.
John is enjoying me in school too, he gets to be my model that I practice everything on ;)
Any who, I know this isn't the best update but you at least get a little idea of how its going. I will try to check in more though. Love you and miss you all!

Some fun pictures I thought I'd share! :)

These are just some random, mostly Wesley, pictures from the 8th. Enjoy.

I like this one.

Always doing things the hard way.

Look at these chunky little ham legs!!! You just want to squish em!

This kid loves being naked!!!

The end.

Happy Birthday Penny Ausick 08-08

                                                 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Penny's birthday was on Sunday August 8th. She is the most amazing step-mom anyone could ask for. She is there no matter what. I love her unconditionally. She is amazing. For her birthday we went to the park for some lunch/dinner and to play some water balloon volleyball. <- have any of you ever played that? Well it was pretty fun! I recommend it! It gets you active and out there for a fun time! Any who... back to what we are on here for! Penny. She is just an amazing person and I am truly honored to call her my mom. I hope her birthday was great cause she deserved it! Naturally I took pictures so here they are!
They were trying to teach Wesley to roll down the hill. :)
It ended up more along the lines of him get thrown, and pushed down the hill. But he didn't mind.

My camera got stuck in this weird mode where only somethings stayed in color and others went b&w. But they turned out really cool.

I just love this one! I like how the sand is still in color and Wesley's blonde hair. :)

Time for some volleyball!

Mayria is awesome in this one!

Wesley wanted to play too!!!

Grandma on the sidelines watching all the action.

Heads up!!!!!

Let the water fit begin!!!! I tried to capture the water actually being thrown but I was always too late. So I pretty much got the aftermath of it and them all filling up their buckets/cups again.

Payback sucks Tamari. We all tried to tell you, the boys don't play fair. So you got one of them, they all gang up on you! HAHAHAHA

Kinda blurry but you can clearly see, she is drenched!!! :D Good job guys!

Wes wanted in on the action too!

I LOVE YOU AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY PENNY!
